New Cat

This is Zander. He is about 1 year old, and is a rescue from Brooklyn Animal Shelter.

Annie is not pleased. She was the only one in her litter who lived, so she hasn't been socialized much with other cats, and doesn't quite understand play fighting. She'll get over it.

Bored, bored, bored!

(begin vent)
Sitting here at work, waiting to download some audio that isn't
available yet.

I'm filling in for a vacationing co-worker, and one of his duties
involves downloading a radio show (split into 8 mp3 files) for
broadcast on Saturday morning.

Unfortunately, there were "technical difficulties" so the stuff
that should have been ready at 3PM will not be ready until
8:30 or so. It's just before 6PM as I type this.

It wouldn't be so bad, but I saved this for last.

There's not a thing for me to do for the next 2 1/2 hours

And all of the restaurants around here close at 3PM.

EDIT: I finished up around 10 PM

Snowy Day

This is from the front door, into the parking lot. (click for larger) This was taken shortly after 9AM on Feb. 14. It snowed pretty heavily for another 3 hours or so. I should have probably stayed home, but I had a ride in, and as it turns out, hardly anybody else made it in.
